IIT JAM Joint Admission test for M.Sc.
  • IIT JAM ,Joint Admission test for M.Sc. is the
    exam commonly abbreviated as JAM and conducted to
    admit the student for the various master degree
    program at IITs and IISc. Indian Institute of
    Technology (IIT) and Indian Institutes of Science
    (IISc) jointly conduct the exam for the post

    subjects simultaneously whereas JEST cannot be
    given in more than one subjects.
  • The number of applicants are more than 10
    thousand in the IIT JAM exam and the number of
    applicants are just half more than 5000 students
    appear for the exam.

  • IIT JAM Eligibility
  • The candidate from any nation can give IIT JAM
    exam.
  • No age limit restrictions is there with the exam.
  • The minimum 55 marks for the general category
    candidate in the bachelors is the required
    eligibility for the IIT JAM exam.
  • Note Minimum 50 marks for the non-creamy
    candidate are required eligibility.

    Theoretical Computer Science
  • For admission into Ph D program of Theoretical
    Computer Science, M.Sc./ M.E. / M.Tech. / M.C.A.

  • Candidate who are expected to complete their
    final examination by the month of August are also
    eligible for the exam.
  • B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech. graduates are eligible for
    the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. program.
  • Eligibility for admission into Ph D program of
    Physics
  • M.Sc. Degree in Physics or M.Sc. / M.E. / M.Tech.
    degree in related subjects.
  • Candidate of B.Sc. / B.E. / B.Tech. graduates in
    Physics / Mathematics / Computer Science are also
    eligible for the Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D. program.
