UNIVERSALS CHILDREN DAY- 20TH NOV
Universals Children Day is celebrated worldwide
annually on 20th November. Its main aim is to
Promote welfare of Children, understanding
between them , international togetherness, to
promote children of different caste , creed ,
society to come together and forget their
Differences. According to the Stats, still 263
Million children, still doest go to
school. Millions of children, i.e. children of
every creed, society, country still facing
various various forms of violence, abuse,
Exploitation, Trafficking, humiliation and
after all these, they are also forced to accept
pernicious traditions like Early marriage. And
these all takes place in our society, schools,
work and home. Growing up with such environment
hinders with children Mind and disturbs its
stability and life expectancy. Forcing to get
indulged themselves in such activities in
future.These problems are increasing day by
day. Its consequences are disasterous, children
suffering from chronicle diseases and physical
disabilities later in Future.

And to eradicate such practices, UNICEF(UNITED
NATION CHILDRENS FUND) stands out and helps to
promote children welfare and awareness all over
the world.It holds various events worldwide to
promote Universals Children Day and its
importance. Still millions of children are devoid
of basic emenities like Clean water, sanitation,
Medical care, shelter etc. On the name of
Humanity, we all should hold hands and try to
eradicate such evil to as much extent as
possible. As on today, various celebrities like
Priyanka Chopra is trying to spread the
awareness. Even some times Google helps to
endorse the cause via Google doodle. HISTORY OF
UNIVERSALS CHILDREN DAY The UN general Assembly
Proposed on 14 December,1954 to all countries
that they should introduce an International
annual Event.And that day will consist of
promoting the requirements and taking necessary
steps for the welfare of children. UN General
Assembly, embraced Declaration of the rights of
the child on 20 Nov, 1959 and then welcomed the
convention on the rights of the child on 1989 on
the same date. After which 20 Nov was considered
as the most suited date for Universals Children
Day. The accepted Convention on the rights of
the children consists of a number of rights like
Right to play, to get education, to be heard,
to get good health etc. Later, Assembly made
clear that countries can celebrate it on whatever
day they considers appropriate. And as of Today,
20 Nov is observed as Universals Children Day,
But still some countries celebrate this day on
different dates like Poland on 1 june and India
