Mutianyu Great Wall Tour Mutianyu Great Wall
Travel Area is situated in Huairou District of
Beijing. It has a longer history and is bestowed
with brilliant cultures. In according to historic
record, Mutianyu Great Wall was supervised and
built up by a subordinate general to Zhu
Yuanzhang, Xu Da based on the relic of the Great
Wall in Northern Qi . In 1987, Mutianyu Great
Wall was appraised as one of the 16 scenic spots
in new Beijing and in 1992, it was appraised as
the World Best of Beijing Tourism.
5
Badling Great Wall Tour The Badaling sector of
the Great Wall was the first opened to tourists.
It is the best preserved and the most
magnificent. Badaling means "giving access to
every direction". The name itself reminds us of
its historical and strategic importance. Fully
restored in 1957, it can be seen how it looked
when it was first built in the Ming dynasty.
Because of its popularity it is the easiest to
get to and has a lot of modern conveniences for
navigating the wall or purchasing souvenirs.
6
Temple of Heaven The temple of heaven was the
place where the Emperor of the Ming and Qing
dynasties would worship heaven and pray for good
harvests. Built first in 1420, and then expanded
and reconstructed, the Temple of Heaven is a
precious example of China 's ancient
architectural art and the largest architectural
structure for worshipping heaven in the world.
7
Tiananmen Square Tiananmen Square is located in
the center of Beijing, 880 m long from south to
north, 500 m wide from west to east. It is the
world's largest city square with an area of
440,000 m² and capable to hold 1 million people.
The square has recorded several significant
events that happened in Chinese contemporary
revolution history.
8
Juyonguan Great Wall Tour the Juyongguan Pass
is located in the valley sandwiched by the Jundu
Mountains and the ending of the Taihang
Mountains. It used to be a stronghold, difficult
of access dating back to the Spring and Autumn,
the Warring States period ( 5000-6000 years ago).
Later the Pass was extended to be linked up with
the Great Wall. The Pass we see today was planned
by General Xuda and completed in the first year
of the reign of the Emperor Hongwu of the Ming
Dynasty
9
Summer Palace Tour Summer Palace (also named YI
YH yuan) is a wonderful place to explore. As long
ago as the Yuan dynasty, officials set up their
private gardens in the scenic area, but the
Summer Palace didn't take on its present
appearance until the reign of Emperor Qianlong of
the Qing dynasty.
