Title: IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) - Complete guide for hopeless couples.

1
Complete guide for hopeless couples
  • In Vitro Fertilization All you should know
about IVF before going to have it.

2
WHAT IS IVF and HOW IT CAN HELP
  • IVF or In vitro fertilization is the process
where an egg and sperm are fertilized by manually
combining it in a laboratory dish and then
transferring the embryo to the uterus.
  • IVF is done outside the body to fertilize egg and
sperm after collecting them in a vitro. The full
procedure of collecting the eggs from the ovary
till the placement of the developed embryo into
the woman's uterus is controlled in the
    laboratory environment.

3
  • IVF treatment is based on the internal
complications of male and female, like as we all
know that the quality of Egg and sperms is the
most vital thing to make an Embryo, If the egg of
woman is poor or damaged and the quality of the
sperm is not good then a couple prefers IVF
    treatment.
  • IVF needs physical and emotional strength. IVF is
an outstanding procedure to conceive however, it
is a complicated and invasive process that can
pose stress on patient's body. The treatment
cycle takes around 2 weeks to complete and needs
the couple to visit to fertility clinic for few
    times.

4
  • IVF or Test Tube Baby Treatment is a life giver
and can bring joy to many hopeless couples. The
IVF treatment raises a lot more questions than it
answers. The birth of the first test tube baby,
Louise Brown, stirred the pot, and got people
thinking about the potential fallouts of the
treatment. Though the birth was considered a
medical marvel, and people looked at the rising
field of biotechnology with more positivity,
    there was some criticism too.

5
How many types of In vitro Fertilization are their
  • Common type of IVF are as follows
  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
  • Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
  • Gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT)
  • Zygote intrafallopian transfer (ZIFT)
  • Sperm Donation
  • Surrogacy

6
What happens once you go for In Vitro
Fertilization (IVF)?
  • The sole aim is enabling a couple to conceive
    through treating and eliminating the
possible cause of infertility in the man or the
woman. IVF Treatment in India involves cycles and
even if you go anywhere in the world, there are
treatment cycles that a patient has to endure.
Some women have 40 chance to conceive within one
cycle while others have 19 to 36 to conceive.
There are many factors that may cause this
depending on the type of treatment taken and the
    type of infertility issue.
  • The couple and the fertility doctor discuss the
best type of treatment. Other treatments
    include Testicular Sperm Aspiration(T.E.S.A),
    Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), using
donor sperms or donor embryo, Frozen Embryo
    Transfer, IUI, and Surrogacy.

7
Factors that affect the success rate of IVF
Treatment (IVF)
  • Unexplained infertility issues
  • Many of the couples even after multiple
examinations and treatment cycles still fail to
conceive. This mostly happens where the problem
    can't be identified
  • The age of the patient
  • The age of the patient is another determinant and
this is mainly in the stage of menopause.
Patients below the age of menopause have higher
chances to conceive than those in menopause

8
  • The weight
  • The weight of the patient, hormone balance.
  • When it comes to the IVF cost structure in India,
there is a big difference with the other
countries. India has the latest technology used
in the treatment cycles and still, the costs are
lower compared to the countries providing the
same kind of treatment. Generally, IVF Cost in
India is affordable and favourable to many
    patients.
