About Us
In 1998, the Cayman government enacted
legislation that requires all employers to
provide their workers with pension benefits.
Under the National Pensions Law, a pension plan
must be registered and meet certain
provisions. Silver Thatch Pensions was
established in 1997 to meet the requirements of
that new legislation. Today, Silver Thatch
Pensions is one of the largest pension providers
in the Cayman Islands.

How Silver Thatch Pensions Plan Works

• The Silver Thatch Pensions Plan is a two-part
  Defined Contribution (DC) retirement savings
  program that includes
• mandatory contributions as prescribed by law
• a flexible savings arrangement for Additional
  Voluntary Contributions (AVCs)
