Charly Abbott supervised the regional legal team,
designing and implementing on-boarding and
periodic staff training on substantive law,
professional ethics, client representation, trial
advocacy, and negotiations. Participated in the
strategic planning process, including the
planning and implementation of the litigation,
capacity-building and advocacy strategy for Latin
America and the Caribbean.

Prior to this, Charles Abbott worked as a Staff
Attorney for Justice and International Law and
litigated active petitions, cases, and
injunctions before the Inter-American Commission
and Court of Human Rights, as well as amicus
curiae submissions to national and international
courts.

Charles Lincoln Abbott III graduated from
American University Washington College of Law.

He is the Human Rights Award Recipient (2012)
Senior Online Editor of the Human Rights Brief
(2011-2012).

Moreover, Charly Abbott also studied at the
