What Is Police Clearance Certificate?

• Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) is issued to
  Passport holders in case they have applied for
  Residential Status, Employment or Long term visa
  or for immigration. PCC cannot be issued for
  persons going abroad on Tourist.
• A police certificate is also known as good
  citizen certificate (in Hong Kong), good
  conduct certificate, police clearance
  certificate, national police history check (in
  Australia) or judicial record extracts.
