Thoughts everyone has had while taking a yoga
class in Melbourne You are in the middle of a
yoga class in Melbourne. You should be focusing
on your breathing but you cant help it, you mind
starts to wander, the next thing you know you are
a million miles away and out of your yogi zone.
Stop! A yoga class is the time to clear your mind
to allow you to listen to your body, so dont
sabotage yourself with the following pesky
thoughts
Im hungry There is nothing like getting your
body moving, to stimulate your appetite. Yoga
really gets your circulation flowing and kick
starts your metabolism, so you would be forgiven
for letting your mind wander to the Pho you can
already taste, that you are going to have after
class. But now is not the time, focus! Try having
a light snack before class and leave the tummy
grumbles at the door. I havent had a coffee
yet, I cant function You live in Melbourne, so
its only natural that coffee is your crutch to
start the day. Melbourne being the coffee
heartland of Australia, if not the world, has its
benefits in that you are never too far away from
a fantastic caffeinated pick me

up, but it can also easily turn into a habit.
Starting your day with a yoga class can be a
natural pick me up as it releases endorphins and
pumps oxygenated blood to your muscles, this will
leave you feeling energized heading into your
day, without the post caffeine energy slump that
kicks in a few hours later. You can do this! I
think I look silly, am I doing this right? A few
things in life are certain death, taxes
and that there will always be someone in a
fitness class who looks like a pro. Dont compare
yourself to other people in your yoga class, you
only need to do the best to your abilities and
with time, you too might become the person
effortlessly doing a forearm stand. A good
instructor will know your capabilities and
make sure your technique is correct, but keep
in mind, classes are designed to cater to all
skill levels, so dont worry if your instructor
says your technique is right, then youve got
this, keep going! Am I going to get stuck in
Punt Road traffic on the way home? If you live
in Melbourne, the answer will more than
likely always be Yes. You know its going to
happen but its just one of those things you cant
change, so just enjoy the peace and
tranquility you have now in your yoga
class and let the stresses of Melbourne
traffic float away. If you are lucky enough to
find a yoga class that is close proximity to the
tram line, such as Kaya Health Clubs, you can
avoid the traffic frustrations entirely.
Let the calming state of your yoga class
continue as you relax on the tram and have some
quite time to yourself on the way home. A yoga
class really is the time to indulge yourself, so
if your mind is cluttered with unhelpful chatter,
you will find it hard to get the most out of your
class. It may take some time to get used

minds chatter and reconnect your mind, body and
spirit.
