Jane Spence is an educational professional with a
successful record of handling multiple positions.

Dr. Jane Spence DCPS recently served as the chief
of secondary schools, in the district of Columbia
public schools from 2017 to 2018.

She supervised instructional superintendents
(principal Supervisors) of 34 high schools,
deputy chief of college and career and directors
of Ninth grade Academic, athletics and pathways.
She launched a redesign of athletic programs as
well.

Jane Spences dedication helped him to bag the
position of the chief of secondary high schools
in 2017. She continued serving at the schools
till 2018.

Dr. Jane Spence DCPS started her professional
career in 1996. She served as an English teacher
at Gibbs High School from 1996 to 1998. She
taught 9th and 10th-grade English, sponsored
student government association and was honored as
the teacher of the year.

Jane Spence got Bs in English education- special
Ed, Minor, from the Florida State University in
1994. Following this, she earned an MA in school
administration and supervision from the New York
University in 1996.

She also earned EdD in educational leadership and
policy studies from the University of Maryland in
2015.
