Metoo Cintaa Committee Names Raveena Tandon,
Swara Bhaskar, Renuka Shahane As Members
On Wednesday as per the latest national news in
the wake of MeToo movement, the Cine and TV
Artists Association (CINTAA) and Indian Film and
Television Directors Association (IFTDA) will be
setting up committees to tackle sexual harassment
in the industry, which includes actors Swara
Bhaskar and Raveena Tandon, among others as
members. The general secretary of CINTAA, Mr.
Sushant Singh said that the organization is
joining hands with a number of people to defeat
the issue pertaining to sexual harassment at the
workplace or otherwise. Actor Renuka Shahane
alongside Swara and Raveena, filmmaker Amol
Gupte, journalist Bharti Dubey, PoSH (Prevention
of Sexual Harassment) lawyers, and psychologists

organization is to make the committee so strong
that the industries refuse to work with proven
culprits. We need to define punishment for what
one has done. As a trade union, we can only
expel such people from associations. But as an
industry, we need to think. The committee
should be so strong that if someone is held
guilty, proven wrong or is a repeat offender, no
one should employ them. We will be coordinating
with producers because they are the employers.
