Different Types Of Plastering

• 1. Cement Plaster

• This type of plaster is a mixture of sand,
  Portland cement and water. It is particularly
  used for construction work as a binder.
• Cement plaster is usually applied in one coat to
  achieve smooth surfaces internally and
  externally.
• Coats thickness also depends on building type or
  the conditions of a site.
• It is mostly suitable plaster for dampness or
  moist weather.

• 2. Lime Plaster

• This basically consists of sand, hydrated lime
  and water.
• Lime is used as a binder to give a finish coat.
• Lime plaster mortar is prepared by mixing lime
  and sand in equal proportions.
• Little quantity of cement is added to it, to
  improve strength.
• Lime plaster could be used for the restoration
  and rehabilitation of ancient structures.

• Stucco is material made up of aggregates, binder
  and water.
• It is applied as wet and hardens to a dense
  solid.
• Stucco plaster is used as a decorative coating

  the architecture.

  three-layered coating process.

  clay, loose soil and cow dung.
• All these ingredients are mixed thoroughly and
  are left for 7 days with a huge amount of water.
• Mud plaster is one of oldest and cheapest way of
  plastering low-cost houses in rural areas.
• It is usually applied in two coats.
