  of mechanical energy which is later converted
  into electrical energy.

  proportional to the size of the engine.
• Alternator
• The alternator converts the electrical output
  from the mechanical input supplied by the engine.
  
• The alternator consists of a rotor, which is the
  main moving part of the alternator.
• The rotor produces a magnetic field which
  eventually produces the alternating current.
