Title: MG Hector Review

1
MG Hector- The Internet Car
2
Starting off with the design in our Hector
review, we can confirm that the MG is certainly a
head-turner. Bold and aggressive is what defines
the design of this SUV.
3
The Indian market is not easy for any carmaker to
establish a brand as it is inherently dominated
by just two brands. As a matter of fact, MG is
under no illusions that it will be a cakewalk for
the Hector to fit in an already crowded segment.
4
Step inside the cabin and the first thing that
catches your fancy is the massive 10.4-inch
vertical touchscreen that takes up the centre
stage. The infotainment system boasts a vast
number of features like TomTom navigation system,
premium Gaana and Accuweather app apart from the
usual suspects like Android Auto and Apple
Carplay.

MG Hector Interiors

Interior View from the Sunroof
7
There is no doubt that the Hector is audacious
and aggressive in its stride. At the front, you
have a huge imposing grille that carries the MG
insignia in the centre, split headlamp design
with daytime running lamps on the top and the
headlamp at the bottom that gives this SUV a
butch stance.
When you come to the side, there is a prodigious
badge right below the A-pillar that reads
Internet Inside, well-proportionate wheel
arches that abode the dual tone 17-inch wheels
that are dwarfed by the colossal size of the
Hector.
8
The Hector is powered by two engine options a
2.0-litre diesel that belts out 168bhp and 350Nm
of torque and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol
that propels 141bhp and 250Nm of torque. We
tested the latter in its mild-hybrid form. On
paper, the 141bhp does look a little conservative
for an SUV the size of the Hector.
9
The Hector is not a driver car in all its means.
However, tech-savvy customers will surely
appreciate the connected car wizardry. Read our
detailed MG Hector review only at autoX.
