What Is Infertility? Infertility is the
inability to conceive after 12 months or more of
unprotected intercourse without pregnancy. Most
people will have the strong desire to conceive a
child at some point during their lifetime.
Infertility affects nearly 15 percent of all

childless couples where the female is under or
around 43 to 44 years of age, that are having
