  • Contemporary Painting is an exhibition platform
offering emerging and established artists the
opportunity to showcase their work in a
professional art gallery located the vibrant area
of Shore ditch in London. Helping artists gain
exposure in one of the main capitals of the art
world, our exhibitions are open to both
international and UK based artists from a wide
    range of artistic backgrounds.
  • There are no boundaries to mediums or theme and
the very lack of an 'ism' makes it stand apart
from the conventional art genres. Best College
Art thrives on being one of the largest platforms
encouraging Contemporary Artists and their work.
We have a vivacious gallery of contemporary art
works by both established and upcoming artists in
New Delhi. This form of art has made a place for
itself in the Art World by being Absolutely
    Brilliant.

CONTEMPORARY PAINTING AND ART
  • During the modern period, art and painting
were the same things. The paintings were
autonomous. They had their own norms for
legitimacy and good quality. After modernism
painting has died and resurrected several times.
The history of painting is its yoke.
  • A painting is always a painting of
something. Paintings are symbols of relationships
between the signifier and the signified. People
value contemporary paintings as autonomous modern
paintings. Or they appreciate paintings as
conceptual tools. Or they like paintings for a
combination of the two.If paintings are to
change from being a simple image or a tool the
painter needs to create an autonomous symbol.
But, the symbol still needs to correlate to the
time and place of its creation. The technique and
the concept must be the same thing and the
painting must exist by necessity. If painting
will have a reason to exist it must be more than
an empty signifier or an illustration of an idea.
