NID Ahmedabad Entrance Exams
National Institute of Design (NID) offers
admissions to aspirants in Bachelor of Design
(BDes), Graduate Diploma Programme in Design
(GDPD) as well as Master of Design (MDes)
programmes on the basis of their performance in
NID Design Aptitude Test. In order to secure
admission in design programmes offered at
National Institute of Design (NID) aspirants need
to take part in NID DAT (Prelims) and NID DAT
(Mains). Only candidates who are shortlisted in
NID DAT (Prelims) can appear for NID DAT (Mains).

Qualifying exams that are accepted by National
Institute of Design are as mentioned below
Final examination of 10 2 system
under-recognized Central or State Board. Final
examination of the two-year course of the Joint
Services Wing of the National Defence
Academy. H.S.C. vocational examination. General
Certificate Education (GCE) examination at the
Advanced (A) level taken in London, Cambridge or
Sri Lanka. Candidates who have completed final
examinations for class XII (or equivalent)
outside India or from a board not specified above
should produce a certificate from the Association
of Indian Universities (AIU) confirming that the
examination they have passed is equivalent to the
Class XII examination conducted in India.Etc.
