  PST stands for Personal Storage Table and data
  can be saved on clients' hard disk. MS Outlook
  accesses only PST file data. OST file data
  created in two cases when -
• Outlook versions 2013 or above and configuration
  with the IMAP mail server
• Outlook with MS Exchange server and Cache mode is
  enabled.

  configuration with POP3 mail server.
