Study tips for toughest of exams
It is quite common for students who are nearing
their exams to feel the fear in the air. Reasons
can be many ranging from not studying regularly
to fear of losing marks in the evaluation
process. And trust me when I say this, you can
fight your fear of exams if you follow some of
these tips which are given below. Scoring marks
in your exams is not rocket science but can be
pretty tough when you havent planned ahead of
time. So grab a pencil or a pen and a paper and
take notes folks! Scoring high in exams can be a
difficult task without effective planning,
management strategy, and a proper schedule. Given
below are study tips that toppers apply while
preparing for the battle. You can too, integrate
this while studying for exams.

  • Learning styles
  • There are various learning styles, some works
better than the other for some people. You have
to explore the style you are comfortable with and
practice it with your might. You can apply
multiple styles to learn better. Here are some
learning styles you might want to check out
  • a. Auditory learners  learn through hearing. for
example, lecture recording, reading aloud, group
    discussions, etc.
  • b. Visual learners  learn by visualizing the
    information and incorporating visual
representation such as charts, graphs, etc.
  • c. Kinesthetic learners  learn through engaging
with the concept, role-playing methods, etc.
  • And there are other styles as well, but that is a
topic for another day. Google about it and
    surprise yourself.

  • Charting out things to cover
  • It is well said that a problem well defined is
half solved. So if you are going to war, you
might want to know your enemies and prepare
accordingly. Charting and mapping out important
topics of a subject is a great way to start your
preparation. Now, dont get me wrong. Charting
out important topics does not mean you have to
leave out the less important ones, not at all. On
the contrary, I would suggest you should start
with easy and not-so-important ones and then move
on to serious ones which require your focus. At
last, what youll have is a table with your whole
syllabus marked and charted according to the
    priority.

  • Time blocking
  • Now that you have your topics marked out. It is
time for you to make a strict schedule and follow
it (of course). The trick here is to divide your
schedule across all the topics accordingly. What
you have to do is schedule your study time in the
form of time blocks. These time blocks can be of
15-50 minutes according to the amount of time you
can focus for. Try to finish all the time blocks
within the given time and then move on to the
next one. Take breaks in between the blocks. Try
not to cover the same topic in more than two
consecutive blocks or you might lose focus and
    give up early.
  • During this Corona lock-down, we are organizing a
Spoken English workshop online.  It is for all
age groups so feel free to inquire about it. We
are attaching an image to guide you better.
