• Under the UK Partner Visa, applicants who
  are either a UK citizen's spouse or civil partner
  or unmarried partner or a UK resident may apply
  for Family Visa UK to come and reside in the UK.
  To apply for a UK Partner Visa or Spouse Visa,
  all parties must be at least 18 years of age,
  have met and have been legally married, or have
  been registered as civil partners. Applicants
  under the UK Partner Visa or Visa path for their
  partner would also need to show that their
  partnership is real and ongoing and they will
  have every intention of living together.

• Moving further, after living in the UK for a
  specified period people can qualify for
  Indefinite Leave to Remain under several visa
  categories. The qualification period depends on
  the type and condition of the existing UK visa.
  There are different routes, which a person can
  take to qualify for ILR. After 2 years, some
  candidates will qualify for ILR, while the rest
  will do so after 5 years of residency if all
  other conditions are met. There is also a 10-year
  path for people who have lived legally in the UK
  for a continuous 10-year period

  route when residency is both lawful and unlawful.
  Indefinite Leave to remain UK applications is of
  greatest priority in one's UK life. Before
  becoming a British Citizen they can be considered
  a final obstacle. Most applications, however, are
  made very close to the expiry of the visa,

• Applicants must demonstrate that there will
  be sufficient accommodation for the parties and
  any dependants and that they will be able to
  support themselves and any dependents without
  recourse to public funds. To qualify, both
  parties must be living together as an unmarried
  partner visa UK, in a real relationship that is
  like a marriage or civil union for 2 years or
  longer. In addition to the above, an applicant
  must also fulfil the financial criteria and the
  English language criteria under the UK Partner
  visa category.
