• Like it or dislike it, plastic is a huge
  component of everyday life for people all across
  the globe. You probably use it to brush your
  teeth, to drink your tea or coffee from even
  through the clothes you wear. And as we all know
  it is having a particularly harmful effect on our
  marine wildlife.
• Sea life like seabirds tangle up in fish nets,
  turtles and stick in the beer cans and other
  marine debris. adding to that, there is a lot of
  garbage leftover floating around the oceans.

• Professor Tamara Galloway of University of Exeter
  shows how studies are beginning to reveal just
  how widespread these micro plastics could be in
  the food chain and maybe even in you. 
• The shower jells or the exfoliating creams
  through research shows to have tons of micro
  plastics in them which are knows as microbeads.
  This means you are using roughly around 90,000
  micro beads of plastic every shower. These make
  up a tiny portion of the tiny plastics that we
  find in the ocean all over the world.

• From the modelling studies and from the survey
  that have been conducted around the world, and
  the current estimate is beyond 8 million tons of
  plastic sent in the ocean.
• Thats a truck full of garbage with plastic every
  minute. Which means there is a truck full of
  plastic dumped every minute somewhere in the
  entire world!
