Scuba diving is a wonderful sport for us
humans. It is very important to be a good person
and be responsible and environmentally
aware. The same advice applies to scuba divers
regarding the preservation of marine life.

1. Have a Good, and Appropriate, Scuba Diving
Certification
Most of the time, divers do not intentionally
harm corals, but it occurs accidentally and is
often due to lack of training, or experience.
Because we often see CZ divers who complain, on
Div-zone or other forums, about the scuba dive
factories that we find here and there in the
world. Dive centers operate in a manner that has
many new divers and does not ensure the quality
of their training every day. In fact, new divers
are often not well trained, not well supervised,
as they are learning. It certainly does not
encourage safe and responsible scuba diving
habits.

2. Do not Touch the Coral like ever
Corals are not a memento that you get to take
home. You will probably have videos and photos to
remember these magical moments spent scuba diving
in many places. The basic rules of
permanent scuba diving are Do not touch the
corals and do not remove your coral. The simple
fact of touching coral with your bare hands can
have disastrous consequences on the reef. We,
humans, can actually only be infected by having
different natural bacteria and microbes on our
skin.

3. Be in Control of Your Movements
The more control you have over your movement,
body, and equipment, the less you stay in contact
with the reef and damage it. Keeping proper
control over your equipment is the key to getting
proper scuba diving training.

4. Control Your Buoyancy
Scuba diving on the reefs can be done in a
variety of situations, and it is often difficult
to control your buoyancy. Ensure that you are
able to properly balance your buoyancy and keep
breathing accordingly, this is necessary to
remain environmentally conscious. It is needless
to say that it is the responsibility of the diver
to remain adequately fit for scuba dive, which we
sometimes forget.

5. Wear the Appropriate Equipment Properly
It is very important for us to use scuba
diving equipment properly, whether it is ours or
for rent. It is mandatory to wear devices that
are suitable for our body shape and which are
securely attached to us. None of our equipment
should be loose or hanging while scuba diving.
