Payam Nia is a passionate mechanical engineer who
received his Ph.D from Northeastern University.
The thesis title of his Ph.D was
"Control-Parameter-Space Classification for
Delay-Independent Stability of Linear
Time-Invariant Time-Delay Systems. Payam Nia's
inner drive of working on complex dynamics,
robotics, and control systems has opened various
paths for him.

Other areas in which he is interested in working
is motion and vibration control, and control
algorithm design.

Payam Nia has publications of renowned journals
and conferences, thus, earned various rewards
such as Alfred J. Ferretti Graduate Award
Recipient for Research Excellence, Post-Doctoral
Fellow Scholarship to attend the Fourth
International Conference in Computational Surgery
and Dual Training, etc.

At the moment, Payam Nia is working as a
mechatronics architect at KLA with the main focus
on mechanical/mechatronics architecture designing
of semiconductor fabrication machinery.

Apart from his successful professional life,
Payam M Nia makes sure to keep a balance in his
personal life as well. Therefore, he plays
volleyball, guitar, does cooking, and enjoy
nature every now and then.
