About Wattle Montessori Early Education Services
Wattle Montessori is a 75-place Child Care Centre
in Coomera, strategically located next to the
Coomera Police Station.Our centre is built on the
foundation of the Montessori pedagogy
delivering traditional Montessori Early
Education services to children from 6 weeks to 6
years old.
THE MARIA MONTESSORI PEDAGOGY THEORY Maria
Montessori, a 19th century physician and educator
observed that human being teach themselves when
given a rich child-cen- tered environment. The
Montessori philosophy is based on a com-
prehensive educational approach from birth
through adulthood.

THE NIDO (6 WEEKS - 15 MONTHS) A Montessori
infant environment can be considered an adapting
continuum between two basic needs of the
developing infant. At one pole is the bonded
relationship between adult and child, while at
the other is support for a growing sense of
self and independence.

INFANT COMMUNITY (15 MONTHS - 3 YEARS) The
infant community offers very young children a
unique year of self development in a tender
atmosphere of special understanding, respect and
support.

• CHILDREN'S HOUSE (3 YEARS - 5 YEARS)
• The Childrens House aka, the Montessori
  classroom is a living room for children.
  Children choose their activities from open
  shelves with self-correcting materials and work
  in distinct work areas on tables or on rugs on
  the ?oor.
