idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura
Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is an immune
disorder in which the immune system destroys the
platelets and the blood clot doesn't occur this
condition is also called as immune
thrombocytopenia. Its usually shown up by acute
onset or sudden onset of bruising. This can cause
excessive bruising and bleeding due to low level
of platelets or thrombocytes in the blood.
Platelets are the components of blood produced in
the bone marrow they help in stop bleeding by
forming a group together and a clot. If the blood
consists of low level of platelets its slow to
clot. People who have ITP have purple bruising
called purpura on the skin membrane in, this
often look like a rash. ITP can occur in
children's and adults. In young ages it's common
in women. This can be caused due to any viral
illness occurance.

in developing ITP. In ITP immune system produce
antibody against platelets which lowers the
platelet count. In children the main cause of ITP
is illness and infection. - Some of the causes link to ITP are
- Viral infections

- Prolonged bleeding from cuts
- Heavy mensuration
- Superficial bleeding from skin
5The test which is done while diagnosing the ITP
is common blood count in which there's less
platelet count. And platelets are responsible for
cloting of blood. Some reports on the searches
prove that in acute ITP phase the child's body
can be normal after 6 to 7 months, but when the
condition reaches the chronic phase oral steroids
are given to maintain the platelet counts to form
proper blood clot. Other treatment involves
consumption of immunoglobulin.
