ABOUT UNIVERSITY
J.C Bose University of Science and Technology is
popularly known as YMCA Faridabad. Moreover, YMCA
University is an autonomous higher education
institute under the state government of Haryana.
To elaborate, the university is located in the
administrative town of Rohtak. As a matter of
fact, the Associated Chamber of Commerce and
Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) conferred the Best
Upcoming University award in February 2014 under
National Education Excellence Awards 2014 on YMCA
Faridabad. In addition to this, Careers 360
Magazine ranked AAAA status to JC Bose
University in the year 2016, 2017, 2018.
Undoubtedly, YMCA Faridabad has recognition from
national-level statutory organizations including
UGC, as well as NAAC (Grade A). In addition to
this, NIRF ranked YMCA University of Science and
Technology at the 120th position in 2020. As a
matter of fact, the Ministry of Human Resource
Development selected the YMCA University
Faridabad under the phase-II of Rashtriya
Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) Scheme. To
clarify, RUSA is a centrally sponsored schemes.
Further, the university is one of the pioneer
institutes of Haryana.  In addition to this, YMCA

HISTORY
Earlier, YMCA Faridabad had the status of a
college in its foundation years of 1969. After a
period of time, the state government of Haryana
recognized YMCA as an authorised university in
2009. Moreover, the premier institute is a Joint
Venture of the Haryana government and the
National Council of YMCA of India.  In addition
to this, YMCA University of Science and
Technology gets active assistance from Overseas
Agencies of West Germany. As a result, YMCA
Faridabad produces highly practical oriented
personnel in the field of engineering. Later, the
governor changed the name of YMCA University to
J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology
after the famous physicist. To elaborate Jagdish
Chandra Bose helped in the development of radio
and microwave. On the whole, YMCA University
history is a story of development from a college
to a state-owned university.

INFRASTRUCTURE
Undoubtedly, YMCA Faridabad was a well developed
modern state of the art infrastructure. As a
matter of fact, J.C Bose University of Science
and Technology is situated on the National
Highway No.2 known as Mathura Road. Moreover, the
university has a lush green spacious campus
spread over the plot area of 20 acres.
Library YMCA University of Science and
Technology has a fully functional modern library
with a centralized air conditioning system.
Moreover, the library spans over a wide area of
7200 square meters. Further, the location of the
library is such that it is accessible to each
department. In addition to this, YMCA Faridabad
has two reading halls with an overall seating
capacity for 155 students. Besides this, the YMCA
library has vast resources including  81613
books, 120 print journal, 3297 e-journals, 6648
e-books, 35 magazines, and 16 newspapers.
Hostel As a matter of fact, YMCA University
Faridabad has a total of 8 hostels, 4 for men,
and the other four for women. Moreover, each The
boys hostel has 40 rooms. Whereas, there are
21-23 rooms in the girls hostel.

COURSES OFFERED

•   Bachelors Course As a matter of fact,
  J.C. Bose University offers 15 undergraduate
  courses. Furthermore, the most on-demand UG
  courses are B.Tech (all specializations), BSc
  (Mathematics), BSc (Physics), BBA, B.A
  (Journalism and Mass Communication). Moreover,
  the working professionals may opt for a short
  term (2/3 years) vocational course at YMCA
  University. 
• Masters Courses  Undoubtedly, YMCA
  University offers multiple PG course across 19
  specializations. To clarify, the university
  offers 7 M.Tech courses, 3 MBA courses, 2 MCA
  courses, 8 MSc courses, and 2 MA courses.
  However, the most popular courses are M.Tech.,
  M.Sc., MBA, and MCA. As a matter of fact, YMCA
  Faridabad launched five new postgraduate courses
  from the academic year 2020-21. In other words,
  these courses are M.Tech in Energy and
  Environmental Engineering, M.Sc. in
  Bio-Technology, M.Sc. in Botany, M.Sc. in Zoology
  and M.Sc. in Microbiology. 
• PhD./M.Phil Courses YMCA Faridabad offers
  admission to research scholars in various PhD
  programs.
