ABOUT UNIVERSITY

• Maharashtra University of Health Sciences was
  established in Nashik on 03rd June 1998 by
  promulgating the Maharashtra University of Health
  Sciences Act, 1998.
• The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences
  (MUHS) functions on the agenda of providing
  quality education in health sciences in the
  State.
• Its consistency of purpose, its goal and mission
  will no doubt help health science education and
  thus health education services to reach a high
  level of elevation.
• The University shall be both, a teaching and an
  affiliating University.
• The objectives as per MUHS Act 1998, u/s 4,

HISTORY

• The Maharashtra state government with the
  objective of ensuring proper and systematic
  instruction, teaching, training and research in
  modern medicine established and incorporated an
  independent University of the Health Sciences.
• Maharashtra University of Health Sciences laid
  its stepping stone in Nashik on 03rd June 1998 by
  promulgating the Maharashtra University of Health
  Sciences Act, 1998.

Maharashtra University of Health Sciences

students. Additionally, MUHS has also ensured to
make the student experience better as well. Now,

at the MUHS. Library The main objective of the
Maharashtra University of Health Sciencess
library is to support the research and
educational activities of the Institute. Hence,
the library is making the best efforts for
providing study material in the form of books,
journals, e-journals etc. Moreover, the objective
is to provide students with all sorts of
information and educational material available
under one roof for the sake of imparting quality
education. In addition to that, the library is
fully optimised with access to various databases.

Hostel The University provides the hostel
facilities for both boys and girls
separately. The University makes sure of the
safety and security of the students inside the
hostels. Additionally, the hostel is embedded
with all the basic and modern amenities and
necessary requirements. The hostels are located
in a friendly and favorable environment for the
studies, and are monitored everyday for the food
quality, civic maintenance and other
facilities. Hostel has 24x7 power backup, 24x7
security, doctor on call, laundry, indoor games
etc. Moreover, the wardens take care of the
well-being of every student.

practical education in computer applications.

all the water coolers inside the campus. Apart
from the above-mentioned facilities, MUHS also
