HOW TO STOP CYBER BULLYING?
  • By Sanjeev Datta

INTRODUCTION
INTRODUCTION
  • Bullying has been a notorious and rampant act in
our society for as long as one can remember. And
if one is to make a list of its negative effects
it might not even end. But with the electric
spread of the internet across the globe this
moved online and became even more dangerous and
mentally fatal to many, especially young
children. Cyberbullying can be defined as a
method or way of anonymously or knowingly
    defaming, insulting, threatening, or harassing
other people by making use of modern ways of
communication and to be specific, the internet.
But it also happens by telephone and this can end
up having negative implications on the mind of a
child or a person in general.

FACTS ABOUT CYBERBULLYING
Visit benefits of self motivation
  • About 37 of young people between the ages of 12
and 17 have been bullied online. 30 have had it
    happen more than once.
  • 95 of teens in the U.S. are online, and the vast
majority access the internet on their mobile
device, making it the most common medium for
    cyber bullying.
  • 23 of students reported that theyve said or
done something mean or cruel to another person
online. 27 reported that theyve experienced the
    same from someone else.
  • Girls are more likely than boys to be both
victims and perpetrators of cyber bullying. 15
of teen girls have been the target of at least
four different kinds of abusive online behaviors,
    compared with 6 of boys.
  • About half of LGBTQ students experience online
harassment -- a rate higher than average.

HOW PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT CAN HELP?
  • Personality development helps in making a childs
mind more dynamic and radical. It also teaches a
child out to look after themselves in various
situations and how to know when they are being
used by others. In cyberbullying, this can be
particularly helpful as it can help children in
gaining confidence and inner strength to stand
against bullies and fight them without caving in.
