1
What Is Cylinder Sweating Its Tackling Methods
2
Introduction
  • An LPG gas cylinder sweats when it's temperature
becomes lower than the dew point temperature of
air at given relative humidity. It will be more
easily observed in monsoon and winters, when the
relative humidity of the air is high.

3
Why does a Cylinder Sweat?
  • This can occur for a variety of reasons, but the
most common are when you add more burners than
originally planned, when your initial plan was
under the actual usage demand, or when the
pressure valves are not installed correctly.

4
What to do if a Cylinder Sweats
  • Connect unconnected pigtails
  • Blow dry air at bottom level
  • Lay separate high pressure line
  • Increase air circulation in cylinder cabin
  • Increase the number of cylinders in manifold

5
What Not to do if a Cylinder Sweats
  • Heat it using flames
  • Submerge it in hot water
  • Keep it enclosed in a cabinet

6
Conclusion
  • LPG cylinder sweating is a common phenomenon
mostly seen in hotels and restaurants. There is
no need to panic if you sometimes find at your
home. If you are not sure what to do or how to
tackling this issue contact your LPG gas operator
for seeking help. Most of the public or private
gas agency always have a team of experts. So, it
would be better to take expert help.
