A brief overview of Non-alcoholic fatty liver
disease
- Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the
term for a variety of conditions caused by
build-up of fat in the liver. This condition is
generally seen in people who are overweight or
obese. Early stages of NAFLD are usually not too
severe, but over time, the condition can become
worse if appropriate steps for treating and
managing it are not taken. Non-alcoholic fatty
liver disease may even lead to cirrhosis, for
