3 Perfect Reasons Why You Should Run for Charity?
Representing a charity and achieving its goals
and vision of a better world is a great thing
that anyone can do. Charity is something we all
want to do one day, but struggle to find the time
for. In life, we are all stars in our own movies
with our own goals and aspirations to focus on.
Charity is often not high on our agenda. We have
other goals, like raising children, working, or
2
  • focusing on our fitness and health (perhaps
through running). Guess what? You can do the
drive for charity. Running is one of the best
and most well-known ways to help a charity.
  • Every year, millions of runners participate in
charity events like London Half Marathon for
Charity as well as many other events such as 5Ks,
10Ks, fun and mud runs, and marathons. They
attend an event, choose a charity to represent,
start a campaign to raise money and awareness
for the charity, train hard and proudly wear
their charity's colours on race day. Running for
charity is just one of the many ways you can
    improve your life.
  • Running to raise money for charity increases
    motivation
  • If you run for personal reasons, like being
leaner, smarter, or more energetic, it will only
affect you. It doesn't matter, right? At the end
of the day, you are the only one who will not
benefit. Running for charity is different. You
run for others. Participating in a charity race
means you have a responsibility. You will often
be asked to pledge a minimum amount of
sponsorship money to fund the charity's mission.
A game changer. You can raise money to end
Parkinson's disease or cancer, prevent child
abuse, prevent poverty, provide better care or
hospital care for people with disabilities, fund
air ambulance services, and support mental
    health.
  • You can be creative with your fundraising
  • Before the event, a popular way to raise money is
to ask friends, relatives and colleagues for
donations. Great method, but there are other ways
to raise money. Why not be creative and have
fun? Create your own fundraising opportunities.
When you use your imagination to do something
different, fundraising becomes fun and creates
great memories. Creative fundraising makes the
    run special.

3. Marketing And Sales Skills Can Be Developed
with Charity Runs
  • Fundraising means you need to raise awareness
that you are a charity (marketing) and get
people to want to donate to your cause (sales).
Without the ability to market and sell yourself
and your efforts, it will be difficult for you to
achieve your goal. Marketing and sales skills are
invaluable in every situation in life. Being
able to deliver a message, tell a story, and make
people believe and see your vision is extremely
rewarding. Whether you're pitching an idea at
work, negotiating a mortgage, convincing your
kids to do their homework, or joining a sports
team, the concept is the same. Communicating a
message and engaging people is a skill we need
to live a great life. Market and sell your
campaign by posting pictures of your workouts,
creating status updates, messaging friends and
family, creating posters to take to any club or
group you belong to, and commenting on online
forums. Raise awareness however you can. Shout
it from the rooftops if you must.
  • Finally, if you want to participate in the
Charity Runs Bradford event in the UK, then our
Run For Charity platform is there for you.
