Ernest Lee Thomas, an American citizen, and
native of Gary, Indiana, was born on March 26,
1949, under the sign of the Ram. Actor best known
for his role as Roger Raj Thomas in the comedy
series Whats Happening, starred Haywood Nelson
and Danielle Spencer and followed the lives of
three young black boys as they navigated issues
like growing up, love, and friendship. In
addition to winning one award, the series was
nominated for three others and aired from 1976 to
1979.
