MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE FOR IMPLEMENTATION
  • (1) MDM is implemented through Panchayat Raj
    System
  • (2) In rural area the scheme is implemented by
    village education committee
  • (VEC) constituted for each village
  • (3) Municipal School Board / Education Committee
    / Ward committees are
  • responsible for implementation in urban areas.
  • (4) Management of private aided schools are
    responsible for implementation in
  • their respective schools
  • (5) Rice quota is released by GOI to district
    supply officer from FCI godown
  • _at_100 gmper student per day for all school days.
  • (6) Every school has an institutional ration
    card.
  • (7) Rice is lifted from fair price ration shops
    designated for each school

Cooking of food
  • 1. The agency for cooking is decided by VEC/Ward
    Committee.
  • 2. Work is assigned to SHG, Mahila Mandal, Needy
    Women and NGO.
  • 3. Food Ingredient are purchased by SHG/ Mahila
    Mandal or Head
  • Master of school where agency is not financial
    strong.
  • 4. Utensils are provided by cooking agency or
    VEC or Purchase by
  • school from funds allocated by SSA or
    Government Funds.
  • 5. At some places Gas Stoves/Cookers have been
    purchased by VEC or
  • School.
  • 6. Variety of Menu from rice is prescribed and
    decided by VEC which is
  • put on the notice board.
  • 7. Stock Register is been maintained and open for
    inspection.
  • 8. Supervision and Monitoring at the school level
    is done by Mother
  • volunteers, VEC Members and inspecting staff of
    Education
  • Department.
