What?

• Participate in a paid Summer Research Internship
  at the University of Karlsruhe, Germany
• Work as paid undergraduate researcher in spring
  2008.
• Receive 3 credits of CVEN or OCEN 485 technical
  elective credit

When?

• The Internship is from May 15 to August 15, 2008
• Applications are due by November 5, 2007 download

Who?

• Civil or Ocean Engineering undergraduate students
  who will not graduate before December 2008 are
  eligible
• Must have completed CVEN 311 by the end of Fall
  2007

Doing What?

• Several fluid mechanics research projects have
  been selected. Only pre-requisite is CVEN 311

Travel

• Group excursions to cultural and political

Sprechen Sie Deutsch?

• Participants will take one semester of
  college-level German in Spring 2008
• Technical elective credit earned in summer will
  offset credits lost to German requirement

  Socolofskys laboratory up to 10 hours per week

• Fall 2008 Attend National IREE Conference in
  Washington, D.C.
