Bandwidth At Each Hub
  • 9 Hub sites with subrate DS3s to LaNET
  • 7 hubs with 9MB Internet access
  • 2 hubs with 12 MB Internet access (EBR and Shreve)

Spreading the Cost Of Connectivity
  • State Library pays for connections to each hub,
    including initial equipment (Level 1)
  • State Library pays for connections to each
    library system headquarters (Level 2)
  • Each library system pays for connections to its
    branches (Level 3, beginning 7/1/2005)
  • 16 libraries have no branches
  • State aid can be used to pay for connectivity
  • State Library will assist libraries in applying
    for E-rate.
