What is Business Continuity?
  • Business Continuity (BC) is the business
    objective that deals with a company's ability to
    continue critical business functions, in the face
    of unforeseen events. Process of developing
    advance arrangements and procedures that enable
    an organization to respond to an event in such a
    manner that Critical Business Functions continue
    to function at a predetermined level
  • Disaster Recovery (DR) refers to specific tasks
    undertaken in the event of a loss by an
    organisation. Process of developing advance plans
    and procedures enabling an organization to
    respond to a disruptive event and restore the
    Information Technology infrastructure supporting
    Critical Business Functions
  • Business Impact Analysis (BIA) identifies and
    prioritises the minimum enterprise business
    continuity requirements to stay in business at
    certain levels of disruption.
