forms a Chad. Once the voting has been completed,
the voter drops the ballot into a ballot box and
later it is fed it into a computerized

using it?Punch cards were very popular and used
everywhere in America up until the 2000
presidential elections. There was a voting
dispute in the election and it was found that
punch card ballots had Chads that were not
totally punched and those votes were unable to be
calculated by the machine. This election voting
scandal forced the states in the US to look at
other options for voting machines although some
states are still using the punch card voting
system today.
