• I can no longer pretend that Im an invisible
  man.

• Im more than just a metaphor.

• Whatever Im doing, wherever I am, Im Batman,

• even when Im playing Bruce Wayne.

• I get up in the morning, go down stairs, fix
  breakfast,
  
• then go to work

• During the day, I run the business my father left
  me, but I conduct my own business late at night,
  in the cave beneath my mansion.

• When the day ends I strip naked, and cover my
  pale skin with the black leather
• that releases me from my inhibition,
• I feel relieved

• I only wear the mask to hide Bruce Wayne. He
  needs to protect his image.
  
• Before I leave the cave
• to fight crime
  
• I take a look in the mirror
• and think about my parents.

• Peering out from the shadows
• I watch over the shadier side of
• Gotham City.
• 
  The part that sleeps until the
• moon rises high in the horizon.
  I wait for the freaks to wake up.

• Some of them escaped from the
  
  asylum during the day
  Others hid
  in pool halls
  
  and waterfront bars.
• They all work the late shift
• the criminals and the criminally
• insane alike.

• At dawn,
• I go home and change clothes.
• I wear my costume to work
  every day.

• I dont wear a mask in the office
  but,
  in my mind,
  
  
  Im still Batman.

• No one can tell when Im wearing
  Bruce Wayne.
