Three High Quality IB Programmes
  • The Primary Years Programme (PYP) for students
    aged 3 to 12 focuses on the development of the
    whole child in the classroom and in the world
    outside.
  • The Middle Years Programme (MYP) for students
    aged 11 to 16 provides a framework of academic
    challenge and life skills taught through
    traditional school subjects.
  • The Diploma Programme (DP) for students aged 16
    to 19 is a demanding two-year curriculum leading
    to final examinations and a qualification that is
    welcomed by leading universities around the world.

Choosing Subjects for a Diploma
  • 6 Subjects must be selected.
  • 1 Subject must be selected from each group 1 5.
  • A sixth subject can be selected from group 6, or
    can be selected from groups 1-5.
  • 3 Subjects at HL (240 hours) and 3 Subjects at SL
    (150 hours).
  • One or two subjects at SL may be completed at the
    end of the first year.

  • Graded on a scale of 1 to 7 points
  • Maximum of 3 points for EE/TOK
  • Total of 45 points possible
  • Diploma is awarded to a candidate whose total
    score is 24 (minimum) and 45 (maximum).
  • Provided
  • CAS, TOK, EE have been completed
  • There is no grade 1 in any subject
  • There is no grade 2 at HL
  • There is no more than one grade 2 at SL
  • There are no more than three grades 3 or below.
