You will need to recruit three to four times the
number of adults expected to enroll!

  • Eligibility Criteria
  • Must be 16 or older
  • Does not have a high school diploma
  • Must be legally withdrawn from the regular school
    system
  • Appropriate score on approved assessment

  • Assessment Result Requirements
  • Minimum of 10.0 grade level equivalent in
    reading, mathematics, and language or a
    corresponding scale score on a state approved
    assessment or
  • An overall average of 450 or above on the
    Official GED Practice Test or
  • A successful passing score on the FCAT based on
    review of students high school records or
  • Approval by an academic admission team based on
    alternative criteria.

  • Pre-algebra and algebra
  • College survival skills

  • Appropriate classroom space, including room to
    provide whole group instruction as well as the
    more typical individualized or small group
    instruction
  • Access to college level texts in different
    academic areas
  • Access to technology including computers with

  • Access to local libraries or college libraries
    for students to conduct research

    clearly defined enrollment dates with an
    established ending date)?
  • Will your program operate two, three, or more
    days/nights per week? How many hours per session?
  • How will you market your program and recruit
    students?
