History

• 1993 Began to explore videoconferencing for MDH
• 1994 - DHS offered a partnership at Metro Square
• 1994 - Minnesota joined the CDC Public Health
  Training Network

• 1995 - Facility Provider Compliance Division
  provided funds for first videoconference
  equipment at Metro Square Annex
• March 17, 1995 - first videoconference
• 1997 Facility and Provider Compliance provided
  funds for satellite equipment

• 1999 - Community Health funded 2nd set of
  equipment at Metro Square Annex
• 2001 - Infectious Disease Epidemiology,
  Prevention and Control Division funded
  videoconferencing equipment for 717 building
• 2003 Environmental Health and Facilities
  Provider Compliance now supporting expansion of
  videoconference capabilities to include Snelling
  Office Park and district offices
