2Multi Faith
St Peters is a multi faith high school, this
means that different people from different faiths
such as Islam or Sikhism come to this school.
This helps create equality between the different
races.

School Day
4Time Table
This is an example of a year 10 pupils timetable.
But they arent all the same.
5Getting To School
There are 3 buses in the morning and each one has
a different route. They go through each town of
Stoke-on-Trent (Hanley, Burslem, Tunstall,
Fenton, Longton, Blurton and Stoke).
There are four buses in the afternoon to stop
over crowding.
Most people walk to school though and some ride
their bike to school.
6Assemblies
Every day before our lessons we have an assembly.
A teacher stands on the stage and speak on a
different theme that runs through the term. We
sometimes have a special speaker who talks on
past experience.
7This is the school hall where we meet for
assemblies.
8Eucharist
Every half a term we have a Eucharist. This is a
Christian celebration. We have songs and Bible
readings which have a meaning to them. We
celebrate this because we are a Christian school.
9What it all means
GCSE- General Certificate of Secondary Education
PE- Physical Education RE- Religious
Education OLC- Open Learning Centre
10Options
When you get into year 9, you have to chose what
options (lessons) you want to do for you
GCSEs. You can chose two academic subjects, and
one vocational subject.
College
After leaving high school at 16, you can go to
college you study for two year to get your
A-levels. You only study a small number of
courses.
University
You can go to university when you are 18 to get a
degree. Depending on what course you do, you stay
for 3 years.
11Extra-Curricular Activities
The school has a play every year. This year we
are doing Grease.
We have some very good sports facilities such as
the gym and the astro-turf which we use to play
hockey, football, rugby and cricket on.
12Mentors
The mentors are there to help children of any
abilities and help them achieve their full
potential.
13Uniform
Schools in England wear uniform for school. It is
to show the unity of the school so we can show
what school we belong to. I do not mind the
uniform as it is good to wear some warm clothes
in the winter. However, in the summer it can be
bad as we are not allowed to take our blazers off
without permission.
14Opinions
School is somewhere where we are in a safe and
friendly environment. Hannah Barber. Year
10. My five years at St.Peters have been
enjoyable and the teachers have always helped my
learning. Emily Massey. Year 11. I thought
coming to high school was going to be difficult
but everyone here is friendly. Amy Benson. Year
7.
