• Established in April 2000
• Expansion of LGBRA

ECO-Buy AIMS TO

• Use the combined purchasing power of local
  government to stimulate demand for greenhouse
  friendly and recycled products
• Create a partnership of local governments
  committed to green purchasing
• Increase awareness in local government about the
  range and quality of recycled and greenhouse
  friendly products
• Support sustainable long-term markets for
  recyclable materials collected from kerbside
• Encourage the sustainable use of resources
• Reduce local governments greenhouse gas
  emissions
• Stimulate local governments participation in
  greenhouse abatement activities
