Process
  • Register interest with school
  • Find an employer
  • Agreement registered with New Apprenticeship
    Centre
  • School enrols student on VASS

Benefit for Students/Employer
  • Student gets paid a
  • wage. About 60 for every day worked.
  • Employer receives a subsidy for taking on a SBNA
    student.

Charges and Costs
  • Students pay an Enrolment (Tuition) Fee of 1 per
    SCH to a maximum of 290 per year.
  • Note maximum Enrolment Fee of 40 pa for
    students on eligible concessions.
  • Students are required to pay the cost of
    materials/ equipment which they retain.

Duration
  • The student completes 200 days of structured work
    and training
  • Student can complete over two or three years
  • Students are required to complete an average of
    15 hours per week over two years or 10 hours per
    week over 3 years

Credits to VCE ENTER
Where a Unit 1-4 SBNA sequence is available, on
satisfactory completion, students receive an
ENTER score increment. ( 10 of average of
primary four scaled study scores).
