  • Change a clause on age limit
  • Included a clause to accommodate Board of
    Directors envisaged professional wing
  • Change portfolios in the Executive Committee and
    their roles
  • Included a clause on transfer of players

  • Compiled Transformation policy to include
    selection, demarcation, coaching, administration
    and officiating
  • SA Games policy

  • Compiled a demarcation policy
  • Re-demarcate all regions according to govt.
    boundaries and ensure integration
  • Integrate Soweto into Central Gauteng
  • Biggest challenge is the vastness of some of the
    areas, e.g. Northern Cape and etc.

NNL Benefits
  • One remarkable contribution of the National
    Netball League is the inclusion of Sindisiwe
    Sindy Gumede from Kwazulu today, one of the top
    players in the world Natal in our national squad
    and Thobile Nzama selected for the SA A Team to
    tour Botswana and many more.
  • Our pool for selection is more wider and more
    opportunities are given to all players
    especially those from disadvantaged areas.
    Through the NNL, our national teams will soon
    show the demographics of South Africa.
  • The national selectors and the national coaches
    will identify talent from the league and those
    players will be included in the TI Squad for
    training and future preparation.(Provincial
    Academies)
  • Still this League is not sponsored!!

  • Compiled employment contracts
  • Set up packages for employees
  • Employed a CEO and Event Coordinator both
    resigned, couldnt maintain them
  • Signed a 5 year broadcasting contract with SABC
  • Initiated a Tri-nation between South Africa, New
    Zealand and Australia
  • Compiled players contracts
  • Hosted successful international events.
  • Bidding for hosting 2007 World Championships
    (unsuccessful), intending to bid for 2011

  • TEAMS
  • USSASA U/07 U/19
  • SA Games U/19 players who never had an
    opportunity to represent their regions in any
    national competition
  • All nine SA Games Provincial Teams are linked
    with their Provincial Academies
  • NSA U/19 to include players from SASSU
  • One pool of training selection for the above
    teams
  • Some players are transferred to the Provincial
    Academy
