Shirley Kwong is a Client Partner in Korn/Ferry
Internationals Kuala Lumpur office and has
conducted searches for CEO and other leadership
position. Her scope of experience cuts across a
wide range of industries, including oil and gas,
manufacturing, health care, fast-moving consumer
goods, construction and property development, as
well as financial services. Ms Kwongs clients
comprise not only Malaysian companies but Western
multinationals and Asian conglomerates operating
in China, Indonesia and the Philippines as well.
Prior to joining Korn/Ferry in 1998, Ms. Kwong
was a recruitment consultant with PA Consulting
Group in Malaysia.
PAs recruitment arm was subsequently acquired by
Korn/Ferry and became part of Futurestep, the
Firms outsourced recruiting subsidiary.
Earlier, she was a research analyst and worked
for a year with a local recruitment firm. Her
earlier career also included work as a translator
with the National Institute of Translation and a
year with another local recruitment firm. She was
also a production executive with a telephone
directories publisher, part of Telekom
Malaysia. Ms. Kwong graduated from the Science
University of Malaysia with a bachelors degree.
She is also qualified as a Bahasa Melayu/
English/Chinese translator and holds a diploma
awarded by the Malaysian Translators Association.
