  • People usually die between 7-10 years after

  • They must be taken care of day and night because
they cant take care of themselves

What people do to help
  • People usually help in any way they can, but as
the years go by and the disease develops, most
people tend to quit their job and devote all
    their time to help
  • Most elderly homes have people with Alzheimers
because they lose the ability to take care of
    themselves

  • Alzheimers hits both males and females of every
    race
  • People who take care of them can become mentally
    unbalanced and tired
  • 90 of the people who have Alzheimers are older
    then 65
  • Alzheimers continuously takes away a persons
    memory

8
What you can do to help
  • Remember people with Alzheimers are still PEOPLE
  • Be patient with them
  • Learn how to respond when they forget things
  • Donate money to help fund research for a cure

9
What people do to help
  • They have some drugs that, while they dont stop
the disease, they can slow it down
  • People spend large amounts of time and money
    helping
