Why Change the
Governance Model?

• Streamline model to clarify roles and
  responsibilities.
• Create an executive-level group for strategic
  direction and working-level group for
  implementation.
• Better address short- and long-term
  sustainability issues.
• Retain institutional knowledge and bring in new
  blood.

• IMWG commissioned Business Plan by the NPAT
• Pragmatic modifications, based on comments
• Formed a governance Transition Planning Group
• IMWG, EDSC, NSB, and NPAT co-chairs Mitch West
  (OR DEQ) and Andy Battin (EPA OEI)
• NPAT co-chairs charged to draft and forward to
  the Transition Planning Group

Council Mission Statement
