Proposal Outline
  • Establish new Internet Technology and Commerce
    Institute to design, implement and coordinate
    this thrust area
  • Institute will define new internet academic
    programs and the interdisciplinary
    composition/participation
  • Hire new faculty to teach the new courses and
    perform the research in conjunction with faculty
    of existing related department
  • Provide the Institute with the state-of-the-art
    infrastructure to support its teaching, training
    and research functions
  • Plan for phased transition of faculty to
    permanent lines and for Institute to become self
    sustaining
