2New Role for Corporation Test Coordinators
- Learn the new ISTEP ECA program
- Train others in corporation about the ISTEP ECA
program and communication plan - Answer questions about ECAs from schools in the
corporation

- The purpose of the Communication Plan is to
increase knowledge of the ISTEP ECA program and
to decrease the amount of time it takes to get a
question answered.

emails from this address are not blocked.
7Log-in and Email Information
- All administrators
- Passwords
- You will be prompted to change the password that
was emailed to you to a new password only you
will know - This action invalidates the password that was
sent to you - Record this new password in a secure location
- All passwords will be used the entire school year
- On-going communication sent throughout the year
- Emails will be sent throughout the year to the
email addresses that were provided - Some communication will be targeted

- CTCs received login/password information with the
Kickoff Memo sent in late August - STCs
- Once CTCs complete the pre-registration process
and select Complete Pre-Registration, an email is
sent to each STC with instructions for the
upcoming admin(s) and the URL, username and
password to login to iTester Admin - A separate email is sent with Test Scout
Workstation Readiness instructions to the STCs
and ITCs (Information Technology Coordinators) - Teachers
- Email is sent to teachers with username and
password - Teachers will have the same password throughout
the 2009-10 year

- Used to complete administrative functions before

each test administration
15Test Scout Workstation Readiness
- Communication is sent via email to STCs,
Corporation Information Technology Coordinators
(CITC) and School Information Technology
Coordinators (SITC) with school password and Test
Scout information - Test Scout runs upon login
- and checks that minimum
- requirements are met on
- workstations
- After requirements are met, the iTester
application must be installed for the 2009-10
year on workstations before testing begins. This
should be completed at least one week before
testing is scheduled to begin.
16Workstation Readiness Test
- To launch iTester, locate the icon named
iTester_ECAs stored on the desktop of the
workstation - Starting with the Early Winter administration, a
Workstation Readiness Test will be available for
CITCs and SITCs - This test will assess each workstation
suitability to administer the ISTEP ECA on
iTester

20Verifying Teachers/Classes
- The STC is responsible for verifying
- that all teachers administering tests during the
administration are loaded into iTester Admin - that all classes are listed properly for each
teacher - All teachers/classes included in the Data
Collection file are loaded into iTester Admin
and will be viewable on November 19 - Any teachers/classes testing but not showing
should be added - Click on Add Teacher link from the Teachers tab
- Add teacher name, email address, SPN and
- content(s) taught

- Verify Teacher information
- Add or edit information as needed
- Class Count
- Enter the number of classes testing for each
content - After testing, verify counts and update if
necessary before selecting Testing Complete
22Students Tab
- Lists all students registered
- Search for students by last name or STN
- If student isnt assigned to any classes, the CTC
can move the student from school to school within
corporation

- To move a student from one corporation to another
(CTC only) - Click Add Student
- Enter STN
- If STN doesnt exist, CTC can enter student
information - If STN does exist, a message will appear click
on link

- Enter the students last name and select Move
Student - If the student isnt assigned to a class at
another school, the move is completed - If the student is assigned to a class, the CTC
must contact the school before a move is
permitted. The student must be unassigned by
clicking Not Testing for all contents at the
students previous school

- Warning message will appear before invalidation

- Allows teacher to make up-to-date test

- Select Print student test logins
- The print student logins function is available to
both CTCs, STCs and teachers - Logins are available in two print sizes
- Large size will display 10 logins per page
- Small size will display 30 logins per page

teacher, class and content area - Student Login
- Username is STN
- Password is unique for each subject and test
administration

32Testing Complete
- When a school has completed testing for a content
area, the STC must select Complete Testing for
(content), Fall 2009-10, located on the STC
Homepage - Testing Complete will contain list of students in
progress STCs will be responsible for clicking
Testing Complete after verifying that all
students are finished testing - Students can no longer test once this task has
been completed - All requests to re-enter a test must go through
IDOE - Failure to complete this task for each content
area being tested may delay score reports
33Student Score Reports
- Biology I
- Student, Class and School Reports will be
available 24 hours after a school has selected
Complete Testing. Initial report release will
be December 21, 2009 (date is approximate). - Corporation Reports will be available when all
schools in a corporation have selected Complete
Testing. - Schools will receive one copy of Individual
Student Reports and one label after each
administration. Corporation and School Summaries
and Class Reports are available online only. - Algebra I and English 10 Graduation Examinations
- Interim Student and Class reports will be
available at the end of the test administration. - Final reports will be available in August.
34Accessing Reports
- After logging in to iTester, click on the
Reports tab - Select the content area
- Select school (CTCs) from the drop-down menu
- CTCs can view the Corporation Summary report and
reports for all schools in the corporation - STCs can view the School Summary report and
reports for all teachers in the school
