- The ARRA provided 720M for LPOE modernization,
divided as follows - 420M for CBP-Owned LPOEs
- Approximately 23 Design/Build projects,
- Program management and oversight
- Repairs Alterations
- Program Management and Reporting System (PMRS)
- 300M for GSA-Owned LPOEs
- Will fund design and/or construction of seven
projects - GSA also received 4.5B for High-Performance
Green Building Projects

Responsibilities
- The Port Modernization PMO is
- An integrated and centralized program authority
for all LPOE projects regardless of ownership
structure or funding source - Consists of embedded or dedicated liaisons from
internal CBP Offices and outside agencies
- Responsibilities of the PMO
- Strategically sources and monitors service
providers - Has disciplined approach to defining operational
reqs and change mgmt - Coordinates and controls information flows
- Rigorous project management controls and
reporting - Provides organized and retrievable project
artifacts - Emphasizes standardized and operable designs
